The impetus of Screenshots of Novel Realities came to the fore at the onset of COVID-19; we are isolated from our usual affections and habitual behaviours, and forced to reconcile with who we are when we are faced with the shortcomings, compulsions, and complexities of our singular and collective selves. This series of portraits of friends around the world, in various stages of quarantine and isolation, show what we are like, and who we are, when we feel the ambiguous stage of liminality, traversing the consequences of vulnerability and solving the riddles of what’s to come.
