About The Artwork

Myriame Dahraoui strives to craft visual narratives that convey scenes evoking contemplation and isolation. She likes to represent architectural scenes, whether it's capturing the interior or exterior, she carefully selects perspectives, incorporates surrounding contexts, objects, and characters to craft visual narratives that express the inner workings of her human experience in our present time. Through various landscapes, she creates scenes that engage in a dialogue between the two aspects of my identity - the past and the present. It is interesting to observe how these fictive places has evolved over time, inviting the viewer to contemplate the evolution of their surroundings in the same way with them as the subject.
