Love looks a little different to us this year. We finally have more time to turn inwards and identify who it is we love, what it is we love doing. And we understand that it is unique to each and every one of us. Beyond an online gallery, our core purpose lies in cultivating human connection and spreading love and joy through the work we do.
We asked 3 of our artists what love means to them:
M'hammed Kilito
"Love, a feeling so strong and intense, a mixture of emotions, that sometimes seems difficult to explain or describe. George Sand writes about it: "There is only one happiness in life, and that is to love and be loved." — M'hammed Kilito

Elham Etemadi
"As much as I think about it, and the more I think about it, the more I realize that it's impossible to come up with one definition or a few lines on love. Whenever I think about love I always think about what our great Sufi poet, Rumi, has written." — Elham Etemadi

Mays Al Moosawi
"Love is the heart of life." — Mays Al Moosawi

Love is all around us. It looks for us, it enters our lives as a surprise sometimes! That’s why we fall in love with art. Because art is reflective of all things that inspire and move us. In its very elements and technique, it can make us more connected to our emotions or transcend us to a different place.
While there are so many ways of falling in love with an artwork, here are 3 stages you might find yourself in while browsing for that special one.
