+Artist Statement
+I am a Qatari visual artist interested in the presence of culture and poetry in contemporary society. I work in painting as well as an expanded practice of abstraction, installation art and sculpture. My work aims to be accessible for viewers, allowing them to create their own interpretation and relationship to the art, while stimulating conversations on the Qatari culture and its identity. My interest in transforming ordinary forms and abstracting them has challenged me to explore different art practices. As an artist, I am interested in connecting with everyday lifestyles, symbols and stories and, through abstraction, I hope to create a new and exciting vision for contemporary society.
