About The Artwork

We are all on a permanent quest to connect with the world around us and ourselves, and searching of justification for the inner contradiction with society and the environment around us. There is good and evil within all of us, and this is the beginning of a constant battle between the dark corners of the mind and the light of our hearts. We were born in a corner of the world where war has been an integral part of people's lives; both in terms of historical and mythological context and in terms of geography. Normally, we are facing to the war news and information around the world during the day; from a simple street fight to a civil war in the Middle East. This level of dealing with the news and seeing images of war has been unprecedented for human beings throughout history. Thus, the impact and depth of the tragedy in our souls has diminished and become a part of our daily lives. It no longer scratches our hearts and hurts our souls. We no longer are dazzled by watching the experience of street executions or massacre in some part of the world on our mobile's screens and simply ignoring these existing scenes. But my expression of war in my paintings are not just between the borders of countries or people. There is a war all the time in the minds and souls of everyone in our dark side. A constant battle between good and evil or everything that is in conflict and contradiction with each other. But the real war is the one that is always going on between our hearts and our logic.
