About The Artwork

The Brush series is a digital experimentation of distortion and embellishment. Within the spirit of my other work, the Brush series relies on the internet’s availability of media and works to invoke a new energy into the narratives. Through wild brush strokes, and sometimes saturated hues the original image’s visual interest is heightened through a new contemporary application of digital paint. Seabreeze, for example, takes a serene moment in art history, distorts the visual elements and adds flourishing strokes to bring a new vivacity, attitude and psychology to the subject and the image.
