Artist’s Story

Nik Nejad, born and raised in Toronto, Canada, of Persian heritage currently resides in New York City / Nik works mainly with painting and video where his work addresses the association between evolution, technology and femininity / He considers himself to be a futurist, he looks at current trends in our world and questions how they will continue into the future / Nik, through his work, ponders the next steps of human evolution, and more specifically, the effects technology will have on that development as a society / Nik has been an active member of the arts community since 2007 exhibiting in a number of group shows across Dubai, Toronto and New York / A variety of international publications covering Nik’s work include Harpers Bazaar, and Oasis Magazine /
