Meet our Artist of the Week Ayla Hibri – Lebanese contemporary photographer trotting the globe in pursuit of spontaneous, composed and ephemeral moments as best described by the artist herself. Ayla inspires us and paves the way to moments and scenes previously unnoticed, we delved a little more into this artist’s unique eye and artistic vision…
Your main source of inspiration is…
Unfamiliar environments and situations. Any setting outside my comfort zone.
If you had the chance to have dinner with any artist in our present or past history who would it be? What would you ask them?
Robert Frank. I would ask him if we can go on a road trip together.
What do you do to relax?
Indulge myself, mostly with food.
What’s your favorite city in the world?
I hope I never have an answer to this question.
How would you like to be remembered as an artist?
One who was attentive to life and has lived it well.
Your art is…
A series of unintentionally harmonious compositions that have come my way – for now.
